St Thomas More's Catholic Primary School and Nursery

Ensuring Success. Providing Opportunity. Fostering Stewardship.

June 8th

What a great week you have all had both at home and school. Remember whether in school or at home we are one team and one family and are here for all of you.

So here we are heading towards another week of most children learning from home. The learning that we are seeing on Class Dojo, both the work we are providing on here and other learning opportunities that you are enjoying, is brilliant. It's great to see lots of you learning new skills and having fun.

As explained in Mr Sendall's newsletter, we have had to re-plan the Maths and English curriculum for home and school learning for Years 1 to 6 to fit in line with the structure of the classes currently attending school. The Maths home learning below includes many of the tasks that the children in school would be using. The English home learning below is a home learning unit devised by the Hampshire English advisory team. It is a short learning journey, which should last a week, and is designed to be used by families at home. It explains what to complete each day and provides resources that you can use to complete it. As always, if you have any questions about any of the learning then we are more than happy to help. Please just send a message via Class Dojo and we will do our best to help.

This week year 5 and 6 will follow the same english journey but different maths journey, then from next week year five and siz will have seperate english and maths. This is to prepare the year six with transitional and secondary life and for our year five to build on gaps they may have missed not being at school. They will continue to do the same; topic, Re, science and PHSE, We are exciting to see what all the children will show us.....

Remember you all can do anything as long as you just believe.... and we believe in all of you....
