Week beginning 1st February 2021

Well, we've made it through January! Hopefully, we only have February to get through and then things will start to look more positive and 'normal'.

This week, is Children's Mental Health Week and I think this year, more than ever, it is important that we focus on this and get involved. As you can see from the timetable below we will be launching this on Monday afternoon and having a well-being day. In school, we will be having our well-being day on Friday however if a different day would suit your family better then please feel free to adapt the weekly timetable. Please do watch the video on Monday, if you can, and then take some time as a family to plan your well-being day.

Also, on Monday afternoon, we will be having our usual Zoom meeting. It is at 1.30pm and all children are invited to join in. This week, please bring a piece of paper and something to write with to it. We will be playing some games, answering any questions you have about the learning for the week, you will have a chance to share anything you've been up to and it's a lovely opportunity for us to all get to see each other.

There is an extra lesson, this week, of music. There is a video available for it that explains everything and there are no separate resources for it. I have not put it on the timetable for a specific day as you may choose to do it on a day that you have more time or you may choose to use it as part of your well-being day. As part of the lesson, the children will be making a musical instrument of their own so it may fit in well with your well-being day if you plan to do some crafts on that day.

We understand that you may not be able to complete all of this learning each day. If this is the case, then please prioritise the English and Maths learning.

Videos are available to support many of our lessons. They can be found here: https://st-thomas-mores-catholic-primary-school.primarysite.media/playlist/year-34-home-learning-videos-feb-2021
