Week beginning 4 May

Week Beginning 3rd May 2020

Wow! How is it already May! It seems like such a long time since we have seen you all but it has been brilliant to get a little glimpse into what lockdown life looks like for everyone through Class Dojo. It has been brilliant to see so many of you engaging with the challenges set and choosing what it is that you'd like to learn about.

Below are this week's home learning challenges to help if you need ideas.

You should also have received log-in details for two fabulous learning platforms. The first is Bug Club, which I am sure many of you are familiar with. This is brilliant for helping with reading. There are lots of colour banded books that have been set by your child's teacher. There are comprehension questions throughout the book for the children to answer and they can use the speaker so that the questions can be read to them. This should help them to access their learning with more independence. When your child has completed all the books within their band, there teacher will set them the next set of books. There are rewards for the children on the website to keep them motivated and engaged.

The second website is Sumdog-

This website is designed to help your child with their mental arithmetic, spelling and grammar and again the level changes as your child makes progress.

I hope that you enjoy exploring the two new learning platforms and find that they are very useful.

Stay happy, safe and well!
