Week beginning Tuesday 5 January 2021

Hello families of Neptune, Jupiter and Mars Classes.

On this page you will be able to find the home learning that has been planned and provided for your child during this partial school closure period.

Please trust that what has been provided is our planned curriculum and although we  may have had to make some changes due to the remote learning experience, all children, whether in school or at home will be using the resources on this page.  It is also an expectation that children will complete this work.

Teaching staff will be teaching in school and also providing, monitoring and responding to home learning.  We will clarify with you in the next day or two, how we will be supporting home learning via ClassDojo to enable us to provide the best experience.  Teaching staff will be available on ClassDojo during the day but please be aware that they may also be teaching and therefore may not answer questions or respond to queries immediately.

We have uploaded most of this week's learning but there are some subjects that we may need to add to in the next few days. We will let you know on ClassDojo when we upload something new.  As a guide we would suggest that a daily timetable includes maths, english, phonics, spelling (these will be sent out), reading and then one from the following - Science, RE, Topic, Journey in Love, Computing.  We will be sending some information in the next few days regarding individual reading books.

We are aware that many of you will have many questions so again please trust that we will do our very best to answer them via ClassDojo messaging.  You can message your child's class teacher or myself as KS1 phase leader (Mrs Carpenter).

We are actively looking at ways to include more videos, class teaching clips and so on, especially after the latest announcement from the government, as we recognise how important this is for both the children and the families.  I am sure that there will be lots of tweaks that we choose or need to make in the next few weeks but as always we are here for you and for your children and want to provide the best experience for them all.

Stay safe and take care and remember we are all in this together :)
