Miss Hennessy
Qualifications and Training:
Miss Hennessy is our Early Years Leader and Angelfish Class Teacher. She oversees both Year R and our Pre-school provision and has a real passion for teaching and learning in the Early Years.
Miss Hennessy has experience teaching across the Early Years and Key Stage 1, giving her a broad understanding of children’s development and learning. She is particularly passionate about creating nurturing, engaging environments where children feel confident, valued and excited to learn.Miss Hennessy worked for the Department for Education as the Area Lead for Portsmouth within the Early Years COVID Recovery Programme, supporting the development and improvement of Early Years practice across the area.
She is also fully trained in Paediatric First Aid, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the children in her care remains a key priority
Qualifications and Training:
Mrs Stock is the class teacher for Jellyfish. She has over nine years’ experience teaching in Reception and has a real passion for the Early Years.
Mrs Stock particularly enjoys the creative side of teaching and loves providing children with opportunities to explore, experiment and express themselves through creative activities. Before qualifying as a teacher, Mrs Stock gained valuable experience working in the Early Years as a Montessori Nursery practitioner and as a Nanny. This experience has given her a strong understanding of children’s individual needs and development and supports her nurturing approach to teaching and learning.
Qualifications and Training:
Mrs Sparks is a qualified teacher and our Teaching Assistant in Angelfish class. She brings many years of valuable experience working within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and has a real passion for supporting young children in their learning and development.
Throughout her career, Mrs Sparks has supported children across Reception, Nursery and Key Stage 1, giving her a wealth of experience in understanding and meeting the individual needs of children at different stages of their development.
Her knowledge of child development, combined with her warm and nurturing approach, enables her to provide children with the support, encouragement and confidence they need to thrive.
Qualifications and Training:
Tricia has worked predominantly within Reception for a number of years as a Teaching Assistant and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge of Early Years pedagogy. She is passionate about supporting young children as they develop their confidence, independence and love of learning. Her experience enables her to provide nurturing and engaging support, helping children to feel happy, secure and ready to learn.
Outside of school, Mrs Percival leads a Rainbows group, something she is extremely passionate about. She enjoys creating fun and engaging experiences for the children and supporting them to develop new skills and confidence.
Qualifications and Training:
Mrs Bicheno is our Teaching Assistant in Angelfish class. She brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously worked as a 1:1 Support Assistant, supporting children with their individual learning and development needs. Mrs Bicheno is passionate about helping children feel happy, confident and supported in their learning. Her experience allows her to provide nurturing, individualised support and build positive relationships with the children in her care. You will also see Mrs Bicheno at our Breakfast Club and After School Club, where she works alongside the team at Tommy's Childcare. Her experience across both the school day and wraparound care means she knows many of our children well and is a familiar, friendly face within our school community.
