Fire Safety Wardens
We have a group of dedicated KS2 Fire Safety Wardens, who help to keep up all safe at St Thomas More's.
As part of their training and role, alongside Mr Harrison, our caretaker, they have a wide range of responsibilities which include setting fire alarms for fire drill practise. They also help in the running of our termly fire drills, helping to check that the process runs smoothly. An important part of their role is to feedback any key information they think needs sharing with the staff fire wardens.
Weekly, they take time out of their lunch breaks, to ensure walkie talkies are charged, check safety equipment and also check that the exit location cards that are used in the event of a fire are in the correct places in each fire marshall zone.
They visited our neighbours in advance of our St Thomas More's Firework Extravaganza to alert them of our event and also invite them along to enjoy the event with us.
